This Sunday we being an exploration on prayer. 
Pastor Jacob begins by looking at the idea that when we pray we are experiencing a part of the Kingdom of God. Jesus says that we must become like children to enter or experience the Kingdom. What does it mean then, to pray like a child?

On this last Sunday of Advent, we learn about how God works through ordinary people. We look at King David and Mary and how society would not have picked them to be leaders or to make a difference, and yet God chose them to work through.

This Sunday we talk about the building anticipation we have as Christmas draws near. Our culture likes to harness human desires to sell us things, but God answers our deep human needs through Jesus. We see in the life of Mary and John the Baptizer that the early hints of God's movement have begun. What do we imagine the future looks like from here? 

We anticipate the coming of Jesus, in our world and into our lives. As we seek Jesus and ask for the Presence of God to be more fully known, what posture should we adopt? How should we prepare our hearts and minds?
