Today we begin looking at the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus begins the teaching by saying "blessed are..." but the words that Jesus spoke might mean something slightly different than our English speaking ears assume. Lets look at the beginning of the Beatitudes and the people Jesus says are "well off."

This week we look at the central message of Jesus as he starts his ministry. The Bible says that Jesus announced the Kingdom of Heaven. What does that mean for us? Join us as we explore this topic!

Ps 121 is full of beautiful images of God's protection and care, as well as a challenging question about where we put our trust. But there is more that lurks below the surface! This Psalm has hidden gems in that can be found when we explore the culture and language that it was originally written in. Join us as we explore Psalm 121.

This week we learn about Ascension Sunday and the significance of Jesus Ascending into heaven after the Resurrection. Jesus fulfilled generations of promises. He brought reconciliation and forgiveness, he is with God representing and advocating for humanity, and Jesus has promised to sent power upon the disciples.

This week we look at Genesis 18:1-18 and the story of Abraham's 3 visitors. We'll see how Abraham showed hospitality that was expected for his culture and time while reflecting on how we can improve on showing hospitality to strangers in our lives today.

We've been talking about Loving Neighbors, but what about people that are hard to love? Do we need to love them too?
 
This week we note how the culture treats people that are hard to love and we see how Jesus encourages us to respond differently.

This week we look at the story of the Good Samaritan. It is a well known story, but there are still important lessons for us today. May you be challenged and encouraged by this week's message!
